Turnz is operated by Yaxley Studio Pty Ltd (ABN 51 621 604 519), trading as Turnz, of Level 2/89 Macquarie Street, Sydney NSW 2000 ("Turnz", "we", "us"). We handle personal information under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
We collect information you give us and information created when you use Turnz:
We use your information to: operate and improve the platform, connect hosts with cleaners, process payments via Stripe where payments are enabled, send job notifications and updates by email, and keep the platform safe. We do not sell your personal information.
Our database and file storage are hosted in Sydney, Australia. We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit (TLS) and at rest. Payment card details are processed and stored by Stripe; we do not store card numbers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
If a data breach is likely to cause serious harm, we will notify the people affected and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner as the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme requires.
Cleaners upload job photos and walkthrough videos. They are stored privately and can be seen only by the host for that job, the cleaner and platform administrators. If a cleaner allows it, their device's location is captured at job check-in to verify attendance. It is not shared publicly.
We use these providers to run Turnz: Supabase (database, sign-in and file storage, in Sydney), Vercel (hosting), Stripe (payments), Resend (email), Sentry (error monitoring), Upstash (protection against abuse), Google (if you sign in with Google) and Anthropic (reads the public listing page a host submits, to fill in property details).
Some of these providers process information outside Australia, including in the United States. We take reasonable steps to make sure they handle it in line with the Australian Privacy Principles. They hold information under their own policies and retention settings, which we do not control, and may keep copies after we delete ours.
We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. You can manage cookies in your browser settings.
We keep your account information for as long as your account is active. Job records, including photos, videos and messages, and payment history are kept for 7 years for tax and compliance purposes. We delete or de-identify information when we no longer need it, unless the law requires us to keep it. You may ask us to delete your account at any time by contacting us.
Under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) you may ask for access to the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account and information. We will respond within 30 days. We may decline a request where the law allows, and will tell you why.
If you are not satisfied with our response you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
